The day after visiting SpaceX with three assistants, Epstein thanks Musk for the tour and says Musk would have had fun at Christmas.

Notes

Released by the U.S. Department of Justice on 2026-01-30 as part of the Epstein files. The text here is only what news outlets quoted from the DOJ PDFs; the DOJ files sit behind an age-verification page and could not be retrieved. Being named in the files is not evidence of wrongdoing. Musk's public response on X (31 Jan 2026): "I had very little correspondence with Epstein and declined repeated invitations to go to his island or fly on his 'Lolita Express', but was well aware that some email correspondence with him could be misinterpreted and used by detractors to smear my name." Email sent TO Musk; he replied 'I see' with a smiley face. The two fragments are quoted separately by outlets.
