Yes, this is extremely bad. I didn't expect Buzzfeed to publish an off the record email. My intent was to have them investigate and come to their own conclusions, not publish my email directly. Still, I'm a fucking idiot.

After BuzzFeed published his 'child rapist' email, Musk tells his outside PR adviser the situation is 'extremely bad' and that he had meant for BuzzFeed to investigate, not publish.
