That is no excuse. I am extremely disappointed. You need to figure out where your priorities are. We're changing the world and changing history, and you either commit or you don't.

About this email

Ashlee Vance's 2015 biography quotes an anonymous Tesla employee's recollection of an email from Musk rebuking him for missing a company event to attend his child's birth. Musk publicly denied ever writing or saying it.

Notes

AUTHENTICITY DISPUTED. The wording is an anonymous employee's recollection as printed in Vance's book and first reported by the Washington Post; no copy of the email has been published. Musk's denial on Twitter (May 2015): "I have never written or said this. It is total BS & hurtful to claim that I told a guy to miss his child's birth just to attend a company meeting." Tesla-related, so it may overlap with the Tesla slice.
