Subject:
DemoFlight 2 launch update (range delay to March)

Excerpt. Only this much of the email has been made public.

We have recently been informed by the Kwajalein Army Range that they do not have sufficient resources to support our launch in mid to late [February]. [...] Several range personnel critical to the launch safety process will be unavailable in that timeframe.

About this email

Musk tells subscribers that the Kwajalein Army range cannot support a mid-to-late February launch because key safety personnel will be away, pushing Demo Flight 2 to no earlier than March 9.

Notes

Only the two sentences Space.com quoted from Musk's written status update; the bracketed '[February]' is Space.com's. The original Space.com page was not retrieved directly; the text comes from a forum repost of the article. The rest of the update was not found.
