Excerpt. Only this much of the email has been made public.

We had a great static fire today. Falcon was held down for almost three seconds of thrust (T+0.5s), part of which was under autonomous thrust vector control. All systems were green and no aborts were triggered.

About this email

Musk reports a clean static fire of the Falcon 1 at Kwajalein: almost three seconds of thrust, partly under autonomous thrust vector control, with no aborts.

Notes

NASASpaceFlight quotes this as Musk's online update. Only the quoted sentences were retrieved, so the note may have been longer. Kimbal Musk's blog paraphrases the same wording. Text was retrieved through a page reader, so punctuation and paragraph breaks may differ slightly from the original page.
